How to draw a PELICAN
Learn how to draw this cute pelican of your very own.
You will need:
- Colored pencils or crayons
- Ruler (suggested)
Jeff's Tips & Ideas : Use lightly sketched pencil lines first for the structure. After, use a pen to draw in the final lines. When you're finished, erase the underlying pencil lines to reveal your drawing. Then - color it!
Let's start! Follow step by step our easy indications below !
Begin your pelican similar to how we've done so with other birds. Two simple shapes to start - a circle and an oval... followed by anything else that might help. A cross, the wing oval... feet... which ever helps!
Here I've sketched in the over-sized bill of a pelican - and in a different color for contrast... the tail.
The eyes will be set in behind the bill - so... how about we draw them second...
And now - here are the eyes...
Next it's down to the wing... and one foot!
Key parts in place, go now to the wing and tail... and yes - bring the rest of the body together while you're at it...
Here's what we've got!
And colored - the finished product remains. BUT - wouldn't if be that much cooler if he had a fish coming out of his bill? For sure... tap into your imagination and make it happen. There's another lesson here to help you out with this. :-)
