How to draw a cute dog

Learn how to draw a cute little dog.

You will need:
- Pencil
- Pen
- Eraser
- Paper
- Colored pencils or crayons
- Ruler (suggested)


Jeff's Tips & Ideas : Use lightly sketched pencil lines first for the structure. After, use a pen to draw in the final lines. When you're finished, erase the underlying pencil lines to reveal your drawing. Then - color it!

Let's start! Follow step by step our easy indications below !

STEP 1

Draw a simple framework, composed of basic shapes.  Be sure to keep your penciled lines nice and light.  Later, you can go over your structure with a dark, permanent pen or marker.  The penciled lines will easily erase with a kneaded eraser when you're finished.  A simple cross helps to position the features of its face.

STEP 2

Sketch in some other framework parts - the ears, the snout and the tail.

STEP 3

Draw the left eye and nose.

STEP 4

Add the snout.

STEP 5

Now for the right eye.

STEP 6

Keep going with the head - eyebrows this time!

STEP 7

Sketch in the ears.

STEP 8

Next, draw in the body of your dog.

STEP 9

Draw the left legs in...

STEP 10

Followed by the right legs - just mirror them over here.

STEP 11

And finally - minus the sketched lines underneath... here's your cartoon dog.

A final colored version makes it all the more unique!  :-)
