How to Draw a Pilgrim for Kids
To go with the Thanksgiving turkey I submitted earlier, I will show you "how to draw a pilgrim for kids", step by step too. Since Thanksgiving is all about the first settlers of North America meeting up with the Native Americans that occupied the lands and how they showed thanks for helping them survive in a way they had no idea how, I thought that making a pilgrim in a very simple manner would help novice artists as they struggle with drawing for school projects around this particular holiday. I was going to do a pilgrim couple but I thought I would just keep things simple for now until you guys got that hang of it. Once you have tackled this lesson, you are going to be ready to draw a whole colony of pilgrims in no time at all. So sit back and relax as you prepare for round two of the holiday drawing season. Peace out and enjoy!....
Just make a simple head shape and then draw in the guidelines for the face and body.
Draw or thicken the shape of the pilgrims face like so, and then draw in a short style pilgrim hat.
Using the guides on the face draw in the eyes, pupils, eyebrows, and then make the smiling mouth and hair curls.
Draw out the entire outline of the body like so, and then draw in the feet.
Here you will draw in the clothes for this pilgrim. Since you are drawing a boy, you need to make the lines for the vest, buttons, and arms as well as the sleeves. Make the sock lines and then you are all done. Clean your drawing and prepare it for color.
This is the line art when you are all done. Now you can color in your pilgrim to finish this lesson. I hope you had fun folks!
