How to Draw Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland
There is a new movie coming out inspired by the book and animate movie œAlice's Adventures in Wonderland. Johnny Depp is set to play the character of the "Mad Hatter" and he is also the individual that I am about to submit. If your wondering who it is that you will be getting a lesson on, it is plain to see from the image with this tutorial. I will be teaching you œhow to draw Mad Hatter step by step. The Mad Hatter is one of the more popular characters from the Disney animated movie and he is the one that Alice has a tea party with. The character of Mad Hatter in the movie is short, semi bald, and very, very mentally unstable. The reason why he was named œMad Hatter is because the phrase means œas mad as a hatter. A hatter is an individual that makes hats. Back in the day mills used to use mercury to cure the felt that some hats were made from. Now everyone knows that mercury is a big no-no to come in contact with right? Well imagine making hats and dealing with mercury on a daily basis because it was your job. When the hatters inhaled the vapors from the mercury, over time these individuals starting showing signs of madness like confused speech, and distorted vision from neurological damage. If someone is poisoned by mercury the signs are very noticeable especially with hatters, they would become confused and mentally disturbed. Some other signs are anxiety, unobserved, and excessive timidity. So now you know why the character was created and named after a hatter from a hat production mill. What about the 10/6 card on his hat you ask? Well the card that is pined to his hat has a very simple meaning, the œ10 stands for ten shillings, and then œ6 stands for six pence and or half a guinea. So if you put the two numbers together and add it like British currency, you will have the price of a hat back in the day. So I guess you can say that he left the price tag on his newly bought hat. Well anyway, I have to go now, but I hope I explained a lot about the character from Alice in Wonderland it was very interesting wasn't it? Well have fun kiddies with this lesson on œhow to draw the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland step by step. See you in a bit and be sure to tune into tonight's live draw at 6pm.
