How to Draw a Griffin for Kids
This is the last tutorial that will be in the 'for kids' section. I am going to finally upload a lesson that will show you "how to draw a griffin for kids", step by step. I have drawn so many different types of griffins over time, and every time I recreate another griffon version, I sometimes have to sit back and look at what I have done. This easy to draw griffin is going to be incredibly fun to tackle and I know more than novice artists will tackle the feat. It almost looks like the chibi griffon I drew a while back, but I had no intentions of it coming out to look like a chibi version. Instead I was going for a kid like griffin that would appeal to artists that struggle with drawing fantasy creatures such as this one you see before you now. I have a lot more characters, monsters, and objects that I plan on making tutorials out of for the œfor kids section. If there is something you would like to see in this format just leave me a request and I will fill it ASAP. Well, I guess that's all I have for this description but don't fret because I will be back in a jiff with more drawing fun!....
Draw out a large circle for the griffin's head, and then draw in the small shaped body. You will also draw in the single facial guideline.
All you need to do here is draw the top lining of the head, and then draw the shape of the lower structure of the griffin's face and jaw.
Okay, are you ready to start sketching or drawing in the fun stuff like the ears and beak? Well if you are than do so now. This should be very easy for you to do because the ears and beak or mouth is large.
Draw out the griffin's eyes, and then draw in the eyeballs. You will need to also draw out the beak lining to open the griffin's mouth and also make sure to get a tongue in there as well.
You can now start drawing out the body and as you can see it is much smaller then the head. Begin by making the shoulders, and then the arms. When that is done you can draw the chest, and back like so.
Continue to draw out the body which includes the left arm, and both legs and bird like feet. The lower body of this griffin almost looks like a chicken's body doesn't it?
For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the wing, and then draw in the long tail and be sure to add the tuft at the end of the tail. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the drawing.
Here is what the finished drawing looks like when you are all done. Now you can go ahead and color it in. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on drawing a griffin for kids.
