How to Draw Mako, Mako, Legend of Korra
There is not going to be a whole lot I can say about this next character from Legend of Korra, and that's mainly because he is a newly released figure from the series. Up next is a tutorial on "how to draw Mako", step by step. Mako has a brother and he too is going to be on Team Korra. Now, Mako has a younger brother Brolin, and even though Mako is a Firebender, Brolin is not, instead he is an Earthbender. Like Momo, a new small animal is going to be a part of the group, but instead of a monkey, it is going to be a fire ferret and his name is Pabbo. Once the two brothers meet up with Korra they join her in the journey to rid the Republic of the Equalists. There is not much more I can say about this character, all I can do now is show you how to draw Mako. When more information is released for Mako, I will update this description and fill you in with more 411 on one of the main characters of Legend of Korra. Adios people and be sure to come back tomorrow to join me once again for more drawing fun.....
Like Oman, you will start this step by drawing out a circle for the head, and then draw out the neck, torso, hips, and legs until you have a mannequin like frame.
Instead of a three step head lesson, you will be drawing Mako's head and face in six steps. Start by sketching out the shape and structure of the face, and then draw in the ear. The face is going to be drawn in a 3/4 view. Next, move onto drawing out the hairstyle like so, and notice how the front part of the hair or bangs is spiked up. You will then draw out the thick or bold eyebrows, and then draw in the eyes, eyeballs, and then the nose. Continue to sketch in the mouth, nostril, and inside of the ear. Lastly, draw out the neck.
Now that the head is all drawn out, it should look like this when its on the frame of the body.
Sketch out the shoulders which is also the cape or cloak. Draw the under shirt collar, and then sketch in some of the creases, folds, and wrinkles along the clothing.
Begin drawing out the left arm and sleeve, and then draw out the side of the torso, and then the right side of the body as well as the arm and some of the hand.
Continue sketching out the clothes which at this point is mainly the long open jacket. Next, draw out the hand that is resting on his hip, and then draw out the bottom of the shirt which has a notched bottom.
Sketch out the legs, and then be sure that the lining for the pants is wrinkled and folded. Draw some of the flap that hangs down the back, and then draw in the closed seam and buttons on the vest.
For the last step, draw in the rest of the legs, and then draw in the feet and the rest of the jacket which is the jacket tail. Add some last minute detailing and then begin erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.
This is how Mako looks like when you are all done. Now you can color him in to really finish him off. I hope you liked this lesson on how to draw Mako, thanks for joining me today.
